This includes preparation of pre-inspection documentation and establishing suitable methods of communication with the GDC inspection panel. Requests for further information need to be managed effectively and working relationships established with key staff within education establishments. I will then manage and execute subsequent inspection activities to completion of the inspection cycle. • Required to play a key role in ensuring that the planned programme of Quality Assurance of education and training programmes for qualifications leading to registration of dental professionals with the GDC is carried out effectively.• Responsible for, but not limited to:o Managing all aspects of QA of education programmes for dentists and dental care professionals, including: planning and scheduling, monitoring and making arrangements for inspecting education and training programmes across the UK; allocation of inspection panel members; managing inspections and advising the inspection team; organising and delivering training; producing inspection reports; managing the relationship between the GDC and education & training providers, including providing guidance and responding to queries.o Building and maintaining relationships with members of the wider GDC team, including Council and Committee members, and communicating the work of the QA team to others.o Representing the GDC with external stakeholders as required.o Implementation of changes to the current QA process. o Assisting the Heads of Quality Assurance and team members in identifying, carrying out or commissioning research to support the work of the team, and in ensuring best practice in policy development and QA operations. o Taking responsibility for cross-team project work as necessary to support delivery of the team’s objectives. With the use of SPC charts, I am able to identify past trends whilst predicting future possibilities. Calculated recommendations can be made in areas such as where to best utilise available resources and minimise waste. More recently, a further dashboard has been developed regarding the new NMC overseas process which was created and is maintained by myself. This is sent directly to the Director of Registrations and used in direct communications with the Department of Health. • Leading role in implementing the new EU alerts mechanism process for the Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications (MRPQ) project, which went live in January 2016. Given the responsibility of maintaining an in depth knowledge of the project and its processes with the task of embedding this within the registration directorate and more specifically, the continuous improvement team. As part of my degree, I completed a placement year with Enterprise Rent-a-Car. I managed to complete the Management Trainee Programme as an undergraduate and so was allowed to return to ERAC after my studies and continue where I left off.
