I was employed by the Ontario Public Service for over 24 years. I worked my way through the system to supervisory and management roles. I changed assignments as requested or competitions to broaden my body of knowledge. I took on some specialized roles which allowed me to develop expertise in various roles. I managed in a heavily unionized environment and dealt with collective agreements and the grievance process as well as language interpretation. A large portion of my roles dealt with staff through advice, training, development, discipline and performance appraisal. I was involved in project management and business continuity planning. I became involved in local, regional and provincial strike planning and level of service discussions.Through my consulting business I have become more involved in business continuity and project management. I have also been involved with Provincial Legislation interpretation, Human Rights Legislation interpretation by assisting clients and their counsel at various hearings and completion of mandated documentation.Recently I have been involved in the construction industry through the revocation and new build process.
