I spent over 38 years in OEM automotive manufacturing, where my automotive career began with assembling parts on a vehicle in assembly, allowed me to experience two start-up projects, move from assembly operations to painting operations to HR/PR functions, and ended as an executive in the HR organization.A main factor to that.... I was fortunate to have some excellent leadership that influenced me to learn more and more with every opportunity given to me, which exposed me to the total operations of complete manufacturing operations, including the complexities of purchasing, logistics, engineering, and quality control functions that hold such operations together, More importantly, it developed, within me...an appreciation for people. The value they bring to the product and/or services provided, but in the strength of the team and the continuity of the operation to thrive in the most difficult times. When you eliminate all of the "noise" of any operation, you find that people are at the core of its success. It is the result of PEOPLE.... every individual person that contributes to the development of concept and design of a product, to the preparation of a plan to produce and market the product, to the sale and delivery of the product or service to other PEOPLE. Those experiences provided invaluable training and educational benefits that honed the skill sets I've practiced in every position I've held and they are the framework on which I am building my new career in real estate and related services. The real estate industry, as I continue to learn, is much more complex than the simple process of buying or selling a home. It's a compilation of buyers, sellers, renters, agents, brokers, appraisers, inspectors, loan officers, bankers. and lawyers.... PEOPLE.... all working with one objective... Deliver a product or service to PEOPLE.
