Nearly a century’s combined experience in Texas property tax law, dating back to the inception of the Texas Property Tax Code and current system of administration.

Co-founded the firm’s Austin office and became its city leader. Served on the firm’s CEO Advisory Council. Rose to one of the firm’s top-performing managing directors worldwide, focusing on property tax and business incentives advice and representation.

Added property tax law to the firm’s fields of practice. Represented numerous appraisal districts and local governments across the state. Repeatedly increased state aid to school districts, individually and collectively, by successfully pursuing their administrative, legislative and judicial remedies. Was presented a gavel on the Senate floor by Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock, to a standing ovation from the State Senate, for helping craft a school finance reform that lifted a Texas Supreme Court injunction against the existing system.

Chief Legislative Assistant to State Representative Wayne Peveto when the Texas Legislature enacted the Property Tax Code, a/k/a the “Peveto Bill”, creating the state’s modern system of property tax administration and taxpayer remedies.
