I managed a range of projects including all aspects of planning, development and installation. Led teams of up to 30 individuals that included museum staff, vendors, subcontractors, university researchers and community partners. Key Aspects:✪ I managed the planning, development, design, installation, maintenance and evaluation of over 30 permanent, temporary and/or traveling exhibitions at the museum. This included all aspects of scheduling, budgeting, risk management and resource allocation.✪ I oversaw the museum’s transition from shared file server to SharePoint intranet system, and assisted in subsequent staff training.✪ I facilitated staff training in implementation of new point-of-sale ticket and membership software.✪ I created a custom-built research platform for staff and university partners to conduct research and evaluation studies with museum visitors. ✪ I organized and participated in several national presentations of museum-based research and evaluation findings.✪ I developed and programmed a collection of over 50 custom WORD, EXCEL and ACCESS-based workflow templates to assist other staff in tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and contracting.✪ I oversaw the planning, execution and presentation of numerous exhibit and program evaluation studies.✪ I created several Sharepoint-based workflows and databases to improve process effeciencies. These included, but weren't limited to, a custom built asset management system, and several project/department-specific hours tracking modules.

Key Projects: ✪ Cloud Buster (a 30-ft tall, architecturally-integrated climbing structure): I managed conceptual development, reviewed vendor bids, and identified services and products for acquisition. I oversaw General Contractor and coordinated efforts involving over 10 subcontractors.✪ Story Hub (a computer-based family-learning experience): I drove creation of custom software to power in-museum exhibit as well as web-based programming for its at-home experience. ✪ Museum Renovation (10-year renovation of 50,000 square foot children’s museum): I created an institution-specific, scrum-based project management methodology to guide project teams. I used superior interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate weekly meetings of 4 to 6 project teams, and resolved conflicts and reported project status to museum leadership and other stakeholders. I participated in more than 20 fund-raising solicitations, many being large events with more than 50 attendees. ✪ Skyline (a research-based, hands-on building exhibition funded by the National Science Foundation): I coordinated more than 30 research studies -- some lasting more than four years -- conducted by 20-plus university and museum teams across the U.S. I managed development of an interactive computer-based experience, as well as its web-based at-home component.
