10/2010 - Present: Senior Research AssociateMr. Haas performs Research and Development projects in response to needs identified by Covance Life Sciences Senior Management, Study Direction and clients. He stays current on new and emerging technologies, evaluates new techniques and systems for applicability to Toxicology Services In-Life Operations (TOPS and Safety Pharmacology) and Metabolism In-Life and advises management on opportunities. He serves as general surgeon and is responsible for preparing surgery standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and translates new technical and surgical skills to appropriate staff after development of technique. Mr. Haas participates in the planning, marketing and project activities for assigned technologies and maintains client contacts and establishes new contacts for specific service or market segments. He also participates in Global Toxicology Operations initiatives including new technologies, related website content and Research & Development and contributes to the establishment and implementation of fiscal, technical, marketing and staff development goals.2007 - 10/2010: Research Associate I, Technology Development Mr. Haas developed new technical capabilities as determined by Toxicology Services leadership. 2004 - 2007: Assistant Toxicologist, Toxicology Mr. Haas was responsible for providing administrative and scientific support to the study directors with assistance from senior staff. His responsibilities included writing protocols and amendments and ensuring compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory agency guidelines. 2002 - 2004: Supervisor I, Large Animal Toxicology IVMr. Haas was responsible for a group of laboratory animal technicians, including preparing staff daily assignments, conducting performance reviews, recruiting new employees, and preparing training plans.
