Passionate about the pathophysiology and immunology of respiratory diseases and related pharmaceutical interventions. Broadly experienced in preclinical vaccine- and antiviral drug research and formulation sciences. Skilled scientific writer having (co-)authored 8 peer-reviewed articles.Up until November 2023, I have been a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy at the University of Groningen under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Erik Frijlink, Prof. Dr. Anke Huckriede, and Dr. Wouter Hinrichs. My research focuses mainly on the preclinical evaluation of antiviral entry inhibitors with broad-spectrum potential against respiratory viruses (influenza, RSV) and their suitability to be formulated as stable dry-powder formulations for inhalation. In line with this, I'm working on optimizing methods for the pulmonary administration of dry powder formulations to small laboratory animals.Throughout my Ph.D. trajectory, I attended multiple scientific conferences where I could share my work and interact with key opinion leaders.
