My responsibilities included advising internal clients on issues relating to the sale and purchase of a wide range of financial products including publicly-issued securities, privately sold securities (including hedge funds and derivatives products), non-security-based derivatives (such as currency, rate and commodity derivatives) and simple to complex insurance products.I also assisted with various regulatory matters ranging from analysis of new legislation and involvement in the regulatory rule making process (including assistance with lobbyists' efforts to properly influence legislative and regulatory proposals through regular processes) to interaction during regular and special examinations by regulators with jurisdiction over the businesses that I advise.
