Persimmon Creek Barn began hosting weddings and events in the spring of 2020. The construction of the 3300 sq ft Hammer Beam trussed Timber Frame event barn commenced spring of 2018 and was completed the following year, planning for it has been a decade or more. It has been the most intense test of persistence, physical strength, stamina and commitment I have experienced yet. We are now enjoying the most amazing weddings as we continue to groom Persimmon Creek into a well manicured estate ready to host gorgeous & exclusive weddings. Ivey's Catering was launched in 1996. My first leap into entrepreneurship grew to regional success over the next several years. In 2000 Virginia BBQ was launched. It grew to 3 locations in the next several years. We began franchising in 2005. Country Road Hops Farm was designed and planted in early 2013 and in September we picked our initial crop of Cascade hops.
