Urban Lending Solutions provided critical services to large financial institutions using the SaaS delivery model to access internally developed applications.Consistently working with the executive leadership team to communicate the strategic direction of the companies IT department. Working with the CISO to determine the correct certifications and technology to meet the needs of the various client’s security requirements. ➢ Manage a staff of 110, which includes the Development, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Business Analysis, Database, Infrastructure and Service Desk teams.➢ Responsible for setting the strategic direction of the department and presenting the concepts to the CEO and CFO to obtain executive level support for all major initiatives. ➢ Provide infrastructure and security for major financial institutions using the managed services model (MSS).➢ Prepare and manage the all aspects for the departmental budget.➢ Manage all of the vendor and IT client relationships.➢ Responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of a complex and diverse IT environment. ➢ Responsible for reviewing the security stack and recommending updates.➢ Assist the company’s General Council in responding to warrants, subpoenas and legal holds.➢ Responsible for the overall performance and delivery of IT services for the department. ➢ Responsible for overseeing and participating in various process and security audits which includes policy development, BCDR and technology review.

Leading and directing an infrastructure team to remediate audit findings and prepare for subsequent security and process audits. Active member of the CIO Council tasked with redefining the role of IT in the organization and establishing cooperative and successful relationships within IT and the business overall. ➢ Lead all aspects of the remediation effort for Urban Lending Solutions by implementing cyber-security products and processes. The company had 97 audit findings with over 50 of them being high findings. The next audit resulted in only 16 medium findings with the subsequent 2 years resulted in 0 findings. ➢ Based on the analysis of the data provided by the managed security provider determined the type and level of response based on the elements of the alert and potential threat. ➢ Lead the effort to define, procure and implement a new storage solution. This effort included migrating over 60 terabytes of data from numerous sources to the new solution. Ensured the integrity of the data and the continued continuity of operations. ➢ Lead the project to define, procure and implement a new backup solution. The project resulted in the company moving from Backup Exec to EMC’s Enterprise-Class Avamar backup solution. ➢ Lead the effort to move the production environment from physical servers, in one datacenter, to a virtual environment in another datacenter. ➢ Lead the project to establish the disaster recovery strategy, as well as build the disaster recovery site. Implemented the company’s disaster recovery capability to the point of failover readiness. ➢ Managed the implementation of various security initiatives including DLP, NAC, HIDS, NIDS and the DMZ. ➢ Worked in concert with the VP of Infrastructure and the VP of Development to create and execute a strategy to complete the requirements for the SOC process audit in order to ensure that proper controls and processes are in place to protect the ongoing integrity of the business.

Leading and directing a staff of 30 (Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and QA) professionals in the development and implementation of several, concurrent multi-million dollar projects. Key Achievements:➢ Managed all aspects of the implementation of a statewide, integrated criminal justice system for the state of Iowa. The project included implementing numerous criminal justice data exchanges between the State Courts, 99 County Attorney’s, Department of Corrections, Department of Public Safety, and 400+ Local Law Enforcement Agencies. The implementation included business analysis, technical architecture design, integrated testing, deployment management, as well as implementation and post-implementation support. Coordinated and organized the agency and vendor involvement in the data exchanges process. Managed the technical environment (Oracle SOA suite and Oracle database). ➢ Participated in the development of the data exchanges that are responsible for the population of the FBI’s NDEx (National Data exchange) which is a combination of hundreds of law enforcement data sources to track and predict the movement of criminals and the excitation of their activities. ➢ Managed the development of an mobile e-filing application for Illinois ➢ Lead the team that created an electronic case filing system for Illinois, which is a web based application using Java, JSF and web services. ➢ Responsible for reviewing all agency proposals, before submission, to ensure profitability and feasibility.

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER Leading and directing a team of professionals in managing the design, development and implementation of a Prosecutor’s case tracking and management system (smart client using .net and SQL server) installed in 38 District Attorney’s offices throughout the state of Colorado. System support extends to the remote desktop and includes the network and server environment.➢ Developed and implemented a long-term strategic business plan for the state’s 22 elected District Attorneys’ including budget, procurement management, and resource allocation.➢ Advocated for executive-level support for various projects and initiatives by making presentations to the County Commissioners, the Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), the Joint Budget Committee (JBC), the House Judiciary Committee, and the Governor’s Cabinet. ➢ Facilitated and negotiated an agreement between the District Attorneys, the State Telecommunications Department, and the State Court Administrator’s Office establishing the first T1 network linking all of the state’s geographically disbursed Prosecutor’s offices allowing them all to query statewide criminal history data real time.➢ Increased the size of the system user community, from 40 to over 1,300, through consistent needs analysis and subsequent application enhancement.➢ Participated in the architecture to create a data source to provide information for law makers and criminal justice practitioners to predict the impact of new legislation and to determine the factors for high recidivism rates for particular crimes.

Appointed as a Task Force Member, Colorado Integrated Criminal Justice Information System (CICJIS). Colorado’s CICJIS system won the Federal Government’s “Best of Breed” award for four consecutive years. Colorado is nationally recognized as being the first state to integrate the information systems of Law Enforcement, District Attorneys, State Courts and the Department of Corrections with a combined user base of over 10,000. Analyzed and designed the prosecution portion of the CICJIS integration project, as well as, participated in defining the architecture of the system as a whole. Used JAD tools to document and analyze the business needs, exchange points, and information flow. Identified and modeled mechanisms to better integrate business practices with technology.
