About Rick Anderson

I am a Bariatric and Kidney Solutions Product Manager with Optum, a part of United Health Group. I previously served on the Women's Health Product Management team for ~6 years. Professionally, I am proud my contributions help people live healthier lives and help make the health system work better for everyone. My experience in sales, product mgmt, sales mgmt, ops mgmt, and planning mgmt provides a well-rounded skillset for my role. I am blessed with wonderful family and friends. I enjoy spending time with people, dining out, traveling, fishing, boating, kayaking, reading, solving problems, financial planning, home improvement projects, maintaining cars, walking and training our two young bordoodles, bicycling, nature hikes, baseball, tennis, other fitness activities, and healthy eating. I completed the Twin Cities Marathon in 2005 with my father. I coached little league boys baseball and girls softball for about 5 seasons each, while my two kids were younger. I also provided some assistant coaching with youth soccer, floor hockey, and tennis. I served as a Cub Scout den leader for several years. I enjoy seeing others succeed, and am happy to help them develop. I am a certified scuba diver. I have been a home owner in Bloomington, MN for 30+ years. I also own a rental house in Bloomington, MN, which has been educational and rewarding. I often enjoy listening to Fleetwood Mac, although also enjoy many other bands.
