Rick Bickling is a member of The Square Foot Gardening Foundation Advisory Board, a Certified Square Foot Gardening Instructor and Master Gardener in Austin, Texas. He has been practicing The Square Foot Gardening Method since 2011 when he built and installed 12 SFG beds on an old concrete basketball court in his backyard to create his “Court-yard Garden.”In 2015 Rick was recognized by PBS Television Host P. Allen Smith as one of his top Garden Writers. Rick was featured in Jenny Peterson’s book, The Cancer Survivor’s Garden Companion and has also been featured on the PBS television show Central Texas Gardener.Rick has been writing about gardening for local newspapers and The How Do Gardener™ website since 2011 and creating YouTube videos about gardening since 2018.
