As the first employee to join the company as a service representative, I spent many years working with customers in the field, servicing the product and teaching end users how to be successful with the Calsense soil moisture sensing technology. Through my passion for teaching, I was able to make a difference in empowering others to adopt and use innovative technology to conserve water. In 1994, I moved up to Sales Manager and built a sales team that covered the California, Nevada, Arizona and Pacific Northwest markets. Offering quality products with direct after-sale service and support provided the opportunity to work with major city parks departments, universities and K-12 school districts. Throughout the years we continued to grow and expand and partnered with departments of transportation, master plan communities and corporate campuses.Calsense is the premier resource for quality irrigation controllers, water and labor saving accessories, and advanced water management software. Ecuador

After graduating with a Degree in Biology form Boston College, I decided to volunteer for Peace Corps and spent two and half years in Ecuador, South America. I assisted and educated farmers and the indigenous people on how to raise fresh-water fish for enhanced protein diets, specifically Tilapia.During this period, I was most proud of completely immersing myself in the local culture, developing a deep understanding of their core needs and raising social awareness for a healthy, protein-rich diet. In my second year, I successfully helped build big ponds with machines loaned by the local government and quickly went on to establish a robust export market for the local fish industry. As the preeminent international service organization of the United States, the Peace Corps sends Americans with a passion for service abroad to work with communities and create lasting change.
