I was integrated into the engineering department, as the sole developer in charge of VB.NET development and to complete the upgrade of the corporate sales product configurator. This product is a knowledge-based system allowing the company salesman utilization of an engineered-to-order process, ETO. I was tasked with the successful development of several deployable versions of this software. I was solely responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the engineer-change-request system, ECR. This application tracked the modifications of the 2D engineering drawings. I was charged with the electronic-maintenance-manual-application, EMMA, an ASP.NET system, which allowed customers to view/print their unique product maintenance manuals. I re-created a deployment package of the CD-WRITER system, which would copy a customer’s maintenance manuals to CD for mailing. I was responsible for the successful conversion of the drawing-review system from MS Access to VB.NET/SQL Server, as well as writing the SQL code necessary for conversion from the old to the new database.

I was immediately tasked to be the sole developer of a high volume air-conditioning simulation program, YorkAST, using VB.NET. I was successful in redesigning the existing data tables into a streamlined cohesive database. The reconfiguration improved efficiency and expanded functionality, by converting the compressor/air-handler data from multiple databases to a single database on the company’s server. This process also centralized information, allowing synchronization with the local database, giving the engineers a unified site in which to perform tasks. I implemented a process for the users to access their sand-box copy of the data. Utilizing Advanced Installer, I was effective in creating a deployment package, which executed from the company’s One-Drive SharePoint website. Once installed, the program would check for updates every five days, eliminating manual notification updates. I designed, developed and implemented a SQL Server Integration Services package, to import manufacturer’s compressor data to the YorkAST database.

I took development responsibility for the supply chain management planning system, MAPICs Thruput. In addition, I took ownership and development of the executive dashboard, using Dundas software. This application allows the executive management access to view the company key performance indicators, KPIs. Further, I designed, developed and deployed the SQL Server Integration Service packages, which extracted data for the executive dashboard. I provided support for the online catalog Deep Zoom process, assisting and modifying the application changes as necessary. During my employment with the company, I was assigned to a multi-department task force to analyze the reconfiguration of warehouse storage space.

I contracted to take ownership of the Native American natural gas lease application. A system that reported when property leases were due to expire. Simultaneously, I developed a user-interface that copied significant amounts of property/title documentation to an external hard-drive for postal shipping. I was responsible for upgrading an MS Access application that tracked legal documentation of leases for the Land/Title department. I further developed and implemented an application which allowed management improved tracking of departmental contractor time.

I was hired as the primary developer, to design multiple Line Operation Safety Audit applications, LOSA\LOMA using VB.NET. I was successful in developing and deploying these applications which unified all airline Safety Audit Processes in America. These audits set the standards for safety comparisons, of different aspects of flight-line operation and maintenance, between airlines. In addition, I was to be completely responsible for upgrading a color vision test for air-traffic controllers, the ATCOV. This test would validate a person’s ability to distinguish existing colors, used by air-traffic control monitors. Subsequently the ATCOV was issued to all flight surgeons, to re-test air traffic controllers, as required by law.

As an Installation Technician, it was my responsibility to replace digital video recorders, DVRs at Home Depot locations in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. I accomplished the tasks of replacing the existing DVR units, with new video encoders, servers and data storage units. The new models doubled resolution, and increased the storage unit capacity to 15 terabytes.

As part of a team, I collaborated with my department to successfully replace an MS Access prototype application with a VB.NET and SQL Server version. This program processed multiple services including, bank lockbox files for EDI-835, electronic-data-interchange records and insurance explanation of benefits statements.

I joined the company to be the sole responsible developer in successfully coordinating and maintaining nine of the company’s eleven System-W decision-support systems. Simultaneously, I was tasked with increasing the data functionality, by the timely elimination of the backlog of System W trouble tickets. At the time of the company’s expansion with Hertz Local Edition, I was instrumental in incorporating the new locations for the HLE into Fleet Plan and Man Power applications. My position was expanded to include the upgrading of a VB-Script application to VB.NET. This program would transfer data between a discount-card application and the mainframe, as well as email acceptance notifications to cardholders. I also made extensive updates to an end user sales MS Access application. The application was used by certain locations when connection to Hertz was unavailable.
