I consider myself a highly-skilled technical writer with a rich and varied hi-tech background. I bring to the table that rare combination of programming and technical writing that enables me to immediately contribute on many different levels.My 15 years of programming experience gives me a solid technical background and a knowledge base of software, hardware, and programming languages. I have worked on many types of applications, logistic and management software for example, and have managed all phases of application development, including conceptual design, coding, debugging, and implementation. I have also conducted on-site end-user training and follow-up.I have over 10 years of technical writing experience, for hardware and software, both as part of a team and as a sole writer. I have led and taken part in all phases of documentation projects, including planning, research, SME interviews, writing and editing, review, and delivery. I realize the importance of delivering accurate and timely documentation.I am able to quickly grasp technical concepts, dissect and understand them, so that I can convey the information to a target audience in a clear and concise manner. I can leverage my programming and writing experience to contribute to software QA by working through a UI to ensure the end-user can understand application logic, concepts, and functionality. I can also ensure that an application and its accompanying documentation conform to company style and standards, and contribute to a positive UX.
