I established new processes with our subcontractors resulting in a more efficient and streamlined bidding process that lowered costs and identified quality trade partners. · Initiated a complete overhaul of the Department within my first two months of employment to better our productivity and increase performance.· Simplified the company’s product line from 84 separate plans to nine (9) resulting in tremendous cost-saving efficiencies.· Simplified construction methodologies and value-engineering resulting in reductions in costs of more than 20% and length of construction time was reduced from 120 days to 77 days.· Through these efforts the Department saved in excess of $9.5 million in construction costs in 2008.
