The DMAT committee was an advocacy group within the Washington State School Directors Assocation, dedicated to assuring that diversity concerns were addressed in school districts across the state. Accomplishments included establishment of a diversity consulting service by the association, publication of a manual that guides boards in addressing issues of diversity, and an awards program that encouraged boards in their responsibilities to all students.
