Govern for Impact was founded as The International Policy Governance® Association (IPGA) in 1999, inspired by the work of John and Miriam Carver. In 2018, we changed our name, becoming Govern for Impact. Today, it is a community of over 3000 practitioners, researchers and consultants interested in integrated, principle-based, systematic, owner-accountable governance, as exemplified by Policy Governance®.
