Establish new financial reporting practices for the Division to improve compliance and strengthen internal controls. Responsible for services related to clients including The Limited, Levis Strauss & Co., LVMH, Chanel Inc., Avon Inc., The Federated Group, The May Group, and Zegna. Accountable for all divisional Financial & Management Reporting, SOX Compliance, SEC Reporting (10Q, 10K, 8K), Investor Relations, Treasury & Cash Management, Working Capital Management, M&A prospects, Divestments, Private Equity relationships, Forecasting & Budgeting, and Corporate Governance committee.

Actively involved in establishing and managing all policies and procedures with regards to company holding of industrial security clearances with the U.S. Government. Managed the financial reporting and accounting operations of the Division in accordance with certain International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Led the finance and business operations post-merger integration activities for a new strategic acquisition. Successfully completed on-time quarterly and annual SEC filings post-merger, including filing the first 10-K for the new acquisition. Further led the initial Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance effort for the company.

Led teams in providing internal control consulting and internal audit services to clients in various industries and geographies. Assessed business performance and recommended process, internal control and organizational improvements while working effectively with audit committees and senior management. Client base included AT&T, Aventis, Crown Holdings, Zimmermann, Heinz, Land O’Lakes, and Prudential.Led internal audit outsourcing arrangements for organizations of and industry-leading teams that provided specialized process and information systems audit skills. Developed and led the execution of internal monitoring processes for compliance with SEC and AICPA independence rules and regulations. Advised clients in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America in the implementation of the “COSO” Internal Control - Integrated Framework that assessed operational, compliance and financial risks and improved business processes and enabled an effective response to Sarbanes-Oxley.

Directed strategic quality assurance assessments of over 20 global and U.S. companies’ internal audit departments and made recommendations to enhance relevancy, effectiveness and adherence with the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing . Developed guidance on the Organizational Federal Sentencing Guidelines that assisted partners in helping client organizations develop an appropriate program to prevent and detect violations of law.

Established a new regional office, growing the audit and tax practice from zero to over 65 employees in less than three years. Sold 95% of all business including audit, tax and consulting to both new and previously existing clients. Responsible for the identification and resolution of all accounting and auditing matters impacting audits in the regional practice.
