To consult owner on what I thought the company could use in terms of computers and servers. So I built the companies first network. Consisted of one server and three workstations. Trained personnel on user and database administration. Installed system, wired building with cat-5 and a switch. Installed Microsoft Server 2003 and 3 workstations with Windows XP. Bought companies first domain name. Decided company wasn't big enough to have it's own email server, so decided against that, although I was mostly at the time a "heavy" with Microsoft Exchange the price tag was too high and exceeded my budget at the time. Configured Server with Tape Backup and Backup Exec. Configured a Raid-5 storage system on the server, with hot-swappable drives. Stayed on the job until everything was working properly and personnel were trained properly on the equipment.

Computer Consultant, Computer Systems Engineer, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, System Administrator, Systems Integrator. Field Technician going from location to location of various equipment and systems, from small to large networks, from small to large businesses through-out Charleston and it's surrounding areas. Maintained all the certificates needed by the Manufactures such as IBM, Compaq, HP and Apple to perform warranty repair. Became 1 of three top technicians of the company, when other tech's couldn't figure out the problem on-site I would go there. Had direct communications with the Industries top support lines. At the time the big server software was either Microsoft or Novell. I chose to follow Microsoft's path and became Knowledgeable with all aspects of Servers. Performed many upgrades to customers server software from NT 4.0 to Server 2000 and 2003 with active directory. Became knowledgeable with group policies and security. Was a heavy with server software and Microsoft Exchange Server, as well as disaster recovery and Backup and restore. Became very knowledgeable with Backup Exec. Raid-5 storage, swap outs of failed rives in a Raid-5. Began setting up remote access on the servers to perform simple tasks from remote to save the cost of drive-time expense for the customer and for my company. Performed all tasked asked by our customers and maintained excellent customer support and trust, from diverse networks and equipment.

Entry level hardware fix/break of walk-in computer equipment. Maily IBM, Compaq, HP, and Apple. We were all of these companies warranty repair for North Charleston. Also worked on Laser Printers, and plotters, and other periferials. Earned (2) certifications in A+ one was for DOS, Windows and the second for Machintosh both in 1997 in 1999 Became Certified as a Microsoft Certified Professional Both in Windows 95 and Windows NT. As well as Microsoft Proxy Server 2,0. Aldo became certified with Apple LaserWritter Printers as well.
