To call on doctors so that, in the end, they use our products while performing surgery. If they do choose to use our products, my responsibilities were threefold: to get those products approved in that hospital, to encourage doctors to utilize our products and use them often, and thirdly, to help train and assist those doctors both before and during surgery.

My goal in this position was to increase the use of CIBA Vision contact lenses at any and all locations where contact lenses were sold. We sold contacts at numerous different types of locations namely individual doctor's offices as well as "superstores" such as Walmart and Costco.

The goal for the few sales reps we had here was to identify sales opportunities through our mailer system, while at conventions and trade shows, and via cold-calling. We had one product, a spinal decompression table that was used by both MDs as well as DCs. It was our responsibility to find interested parties, complete the sale of a table, and help office through the financing, delivery, construction and implementation of the table.
