Oversees the coordination and staffing of MISO policy, strategy, doctrine, and plans for execution by DoD in support of US strategic objectives and advises action officers and leadership on the preparation of decision and information briefings and papers, and completion of staffing actions related to MISO, IO and SC; prepares and presents executive level briefings, information papers, and correspondence on policies and programs for the Joint Staff and DoD; conducts direct, daily coordination involving national level guidance, policies and directives with the Services, combatant commands, and other USG departments and agencies; and takes the Joint Staff and OSD lead for the development and revision of MISO policy, doctrine and resource requirements.
