In my role as the first Financial Analyst at Roar Global, I perform various duties to support the organization's decision-making processes. My responsibilities include research, analysis, and preparation of data on investments, accounting, and other aspects of Roar's businesses.Some of the key tasks I undertake are:- Conducting financial forecasting, reporting, operational metrics tracking, and project support to senior management- Producing monthly reports that include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting- Collaborating closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting- Managing both internal and external audits- Analyzing, forecasting, and reporting on investments- Leading the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes- Identifying opportunities for performance improvement across the organization- Keeping up-to-date with new investment regulations or policies- Developing models that help with decision-makingMy role is critical to Roar's growth strategy, and I am proud to contribute to the success of the organization.

I had the privilege of joining Roar Global as an Accounting Executive, I progressed through the ranks to become a Senior Accountant. At Roar Global, I had the opportunity to work on various accounting activities, which helped me to develop my skills and expertise.One of my key responsibilities was preparing monthly consolidated financial statements, variance reports, and updating group financial dashboards.I also liaised with banks regarding OIA, SIA, and current accounts, and collaborated with company secretaries, tax consultants, and external auditors (KPMG/EY) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.I was responsible for handling company petty cash and ensuring day-to-day operational activities were performed efficiently. I also provided guidance and instructions to office supervisors on operations to ensure seamless operations.Furthermore, I liaised with suppliers and customers regarding payments, collections, and invoicing, and made sure that all payments and collections were made on time to enhance the company's reputation and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.Finally, I was responsible for handling EPF, ETF, PAYE, VAT, NBT, ESC, and WHT, and liaising with the Inland Revenue Department on tax-related matters. I also liaised with the Labor Department regarding B cards to ensure compliance with labor laws.Overall, my experience at Roar Global is a great learning experience, and I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that helped me develop my skills and expertise. I hope to continue to use my knowledge and experience to make a positive impact on the organization.

I had the privilege of handling all the accounting and sales-related tax matters of Vivo Mobile Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a valued client. This involved liaising with various departments such as the Department of Inland Revenue, Company Secretaries, Logistics, Courier, Transport, and Banks.I designed and implemented internal controls and accounting policies for Vivo Mobile Lanka, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. I also prepared monthly financial statements and provided interpretations to management, along with maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and preparing ad-hoc reports requested by management.In addition, I identified import cost components and allocated them to cost units, calculated and paid NBT, ESC, and PAYE taxes, conducted reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, and substantiated financial transactions by auditing documents. I also maintained accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures and reconciled financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Finally, I ensured the security of financial information by completing database backups.
