Before there was Internet Marketing, I began my 20+ year career in the ski industry while in high school, in 1970, working at Ski Town in Cleveland, OH for my mentor, Harold Myring. While I went to college I helped run a local ski area called Marshall Mountain in Missoula, MT. In 1976 I moved to Sun Valley, ID and worked at Sturtevant's running the rental and repair shop as well as buying hard goods. In 1983 I was on the founding team of ProSelect, a startup network of ski rental shops at Western USA resorts. In 1984 I started Central Resort Reservations, an early airline wholesaler of ski vacation packages. In 1989, sold it to GeoLiesure in Aspen, CO who asked me to run the marketing for a year. In 1990 I was recruited to a startup vacation junket business in Las Vegas called AirOne, who owned two 737 Jets they "wet leased" to Continental. We had the jets from 5pm on Friday to 5am on Monday. Continental filed bankruptcy as we rolled out program to 4 cities... then I was recruited as Director of Sales for Aspen Highlands until it was sold in 1993 to the Aspen Skiing Co. who became one of my first, what was just then emerging, internet marketing clients.
