Board member at CIO Platform Nederland, the independent association of CIOs of private and public organizations in the Netherlands (currently 125+ members). Responsible for driving the 'Transformation, People, & Organization theme' within the platform, by building relevant best practices with members and actively promote sharing of knowledge (e.g. through events). The focus on the organization, culture, and people-side of digital transformation helps CIOs to successfully guide their organizations through the age of digital disruption.

Leading the digital transformation agenda of Transavia, with a specific focus on the organizational transformation required to turn Transavia into an innovative airline and high-performance digital organization (culture, people, processes, technology). Responsible for the Digital Innovation budget and IT Run budget. Heading a department of approx. 250 fte. With the cibit academy label for its training services, inspearit has built quite a reputation when it comes to both its training and consultancy services to develop and professionalize numerous organisations and IT professionals over the past 25 years.Main objectives for this role were high client satisfaction, high quality of delivery, improving and expanding our portfolio of premium services, and maintaining a culture of excellence that enables our consultants to continuously develop themselves while delivering maximum business value to clients.

Heading the Architecture & Strategy practice of inspearit Netherlands, whose core services focus on enterprise (IT) architecture, business & IT strategy, governance and portfolio management, software and systems architecture.

As Programme Director I was responsible for the contents and delivery of the Master of Science programme in IT Architecture that cibit academy (inspearit's brand for ICT trainings) offers to Dutch IT professionals in collaboration with Middlesex University (UK).

Leading client engagements, and delivering tangible business value to clients by in-depth knowledge and expertise in business and IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and IT management practices. Typical activities and responsibilities include the establishment or professionalization of enterprise architecture functions, coaching CIOs and (chief) enterprise architects, development of competence management and training programs for business and IT specialists, and leading transformation programs to bring organizations to a higher maturity level w.r.t. business and IT alignment.

As manager of cibit academy (inspearit's brand for training services) in the Netherlands, I was responsible for a) the portfolio of all trainings and related academy services offered by our open enrollment curriculum, through (tailor-made) in-company programs and by both our MSc studies, b) the delivery of all these training services, and c) the associated quality assurance.

I conducted my doctoral research in the area of architectural knowledge management, which entails the application of knowledge management practices in an enterprise and software architecture domain. I published around 18 publications on this topic in international refereed conferences or journals.My PhD research was conducted in the context of the Griffin project. (http://griffin.cs.vu.nl) that aimed to develop notations, tools and associated methods to extract, represent and use architectural knowledge effectively. My research focused specifically on support for sharing architectural knowledge. We discovered that depending on the type of (tacit or explicit) architectural knowledge, different knowledge sharing strategies are effective in the architecting process. Based on these insights, we have designed and implementation Web 2.0-based tool support. We also extensively experimented with these tools in practice.

At Capgemini BAS, which was previously known as Getronics PinkRoccade Business Application Services, I worked part-time as technical consultant and researcher in enterprise and software architecture. I worked on defining and improving methods, processes, and (Web 2.0) tool support for the enterprise and software architecture domain, with a particular emphasis on knowledge management support. My recent activities include the design and implementation of a enterprise wiki environment for our 'architecture community', the training of colleague architects on how to effectively describe architectures, and the establishment of process guidelines for evaluation and evolution of architectures. Last but not least, I guided interns who conduct their master thesis research in the field of architectural knowledge management.

In this part time job, I guided Master students during their internship at the Serviceline Architecture department of Getronics PinkRoccade. Research conducted in this department by me and the students I guided focused on software and enterprise architecture, knowledge management and business intelligence. In addition, I assisted colleagues in constructing and maintaining architecture descriptions, harvesting architectural best practices, and reusing architectural knowledge in projects.

In this part time job I was responsible for guiding Master students with their research at the Research & Development department at Getronics PinkRoccade, sector Public. I particularly focused on research in software engineering and software architecture.

I have worked as a student assistant at the software engineering department of the computer science faculty. In this job I guided bachelor students in weekly meetings, gave grades, prepared lectures, and organized and supervised practical work. Courses I taught during these 2 years include Introduction to Java programming, Datastructures, Software Engineering, Task analysis & Web design.
