Starting off as a grocery store bagger in the front end, I was promoted to work in produce which is where I am currently working seasonally while being a full time student at the University of Cincinnati. As a produce merchandiser it is my job to check, stack, and rotate all the products in the produce department. Along with keeping the sales floor in good shape, I can prepare dishes, take orders, answer the phone, unload trucks, open and close the department. I also train new employees, and occasionally work up front bagging again and doing store maintenance.

I started my first real job working at Buehlers Fresh Foods grocery store. I was hired as a bagger where I bagged groceries and loaded cars with groceries in the pickup lane. Buehlers has pickup lane where after customers buy their groceries we send them outside on a conveyer belt and the customer drives up and we load their car for them. I did both these job and I was also responsible for cleaning the store if there where any spills, helping open and close the store, keeping the bathroom clean and shoveling and salting the sidewalk in the winter. In the summer I would work as maintenance and help the store managers with any small jobs they had around the store to keep it in good shape. I also trained new employees.
