Wegmans was an amazing experience and opportunity for myself. Wegmans helped me to grow as an individual both, personally and professionally. I started at Wegmans as a part-time dairy employee but quickly gained a full-time position within the grocery department. I worked in grocery for one year until accepting a Overnight Grocery Team Leader role. I trained all new overnight grocery personal as well as my counter part. Opening the Alexandria, Virginia Wegmans was one of the most rewarding accomplishments of mine. During the opening a overcame unforseen obstacles without a hitch and ran the store overnight until upper management arrived the next day. My responsibilities included but we're not limited to: ordering for grocery isle, management, team building, organization, time management, opening the store in the mornings, taking calls from employees and setting and obtaining goals. Resigning from Wegmans was a difficult decision. Overwhelmed with a desire to pursue other goals I relocated to New York, leaving Wegmans.
