Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations.Acts as an independent reviewer to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides guidance on avoiding future occurances.Provides reports keeping the Corporate Compliance Committee and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate.Establishes and provides direction and management of the Compliance Alert Hotline.Works with the Human Resources Department to develop an effective compliance training program for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.Leads all Audit, Investigative, and Denial Managament activities. Review and prepare all necessary documentation needed for all denials, probes, reviews and audits. Ensure timely submission of requested information. Attend all hearings in relation to any denials in payment. Assist in documentation training of all new therapists. Provide consist documentation auditing and training with all therapy teams to ensure compliance. Assist in new documentation development, implementation and training. Develop and alter standards and guidelines related to documentation management as needed. Review billing practices and assist in recommendations and trainings as it relates. Participate on all relevant regulatory update calls as they relate to therapy and provide insight and education regarding changing regulations. Monitor all regulatory activity as it relates to the industry.Participate in scheduled reviews within facilities to identify areas of opportunity as they relate to regulatory and company processes and practices.
