Rita Govender is a registered Management 3.0 Agile Leadership Facilitator, Licensed Enneagram Practitioner for Individuals and Teams, a Neuro Coach and a Small, Medium & Micro Enterprise (SMME) coach and trainer. Rita is a strong advocate for a comprehensive approach to learning to meet the requirements of The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), Digital Transformation and Future Skills for 2030. She insists on the holistic development of the learner and client within a continuously improving learning environment. She has studied at six different tertiary institutions, completing a research study on “Examining the training needs for the 4IR essential skills among SMMEs’ employees in Gauteng”. Her current study is based on “Job Creation through Structured Incubators in South Africa”. This study is motivated by the unemployment crisis in South Africa and her passion to change the lives of women and youth who have not had learning and employment opportunities in the past. She has been awarded a scholarship by the Swiss Institute of Management and Innovation in January 2023, to complete a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) – Management and Innovation. She has recently co-authored a book alongside Professor Shirley Zinn and fourteen other successful woman Entrepreneurs called “The Forgotten Women – The South African Story.” The proceeds of this book go to the woman entrepreneurs who have become vulnerable in business during the Covid-19 pandemic. Rita has over 20 years of experience in the talent management and skills development space as a leader, and within various industries – Public Sector, Media and Telecommunications, Education, Financial and Contact Centres. She receives invitations from various local and international organisations to train executives. The most recent training was on Public Sector Procurement for African Leaders that was held in Istanbul. She is a public speaker about Practicing Agile Methodology in a Digitally Transforming Economy and Contextualised Leadership (Using the Neurology to Lead Teams into 2030 and beyond). Rita has been nominated for the “Woman in Education and Training” award by the Woman of Stature Foundation.
