I'm a Pathology and Molecular Genetics PhD that during the past years I've been dedicated to research in the areas of cancer biology (gastrointestinal cancer) and Infection (Helicobacter and Mycobacterium tuberculosis). More recently I did a specialization in Medical Affairs, Medical Marketing and Comercial Strategy by Invictus Sciences. These helped me to clarify my ambition to move from academia to a pharmaceutical or medical devices/biotech company. I've been also developing skills as Project Manager, being responsible for the experimental design, execution, and results analysis of multiple research projects. The years spent in academia, gave me opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork skills, having a problem-solving mindset, strong time management ability, high planning and organization methodology and attention to details, useful skills not only to academia but also to industry. Furthermore, I've been involved in several international collaborations, with other research groups, with pharmaceutical companies and hospitals, working with multidisciplinary teams on daily basis.I can describe myself as very organized person, used to work in a competitive environment, under pressure, with tight schedules and with a problem-solving mindset. I am a fast learner and I highly motivated person, always eager to acquire new knowledge. It is my goal to challenge myself to new professional experiences, outside of "my confort zone" in academia, and step-up to pharmaceutical or biotechnological companies.
