The Internal Audit function later formed part of the wider governance framework across Harvey Norman, working closely with the Chief Risk Officer to provide validation of control effectiveness, and confirmation of risk ratings with direct report to the Head of Audit, a role which was created in January 2007. Provided guidance to the Harvey Norman Compliance Team on compliance program and testing based on risk analysis, control effectiveness and audit findings.Achievements: Successful acceptance of the Internal Audit function as a value add process across the business, where no such function existed before I commenced, developing a reputation for value adding, engagement and consultation, which enhanced the acceptance of Internal audit across the business.
