Re-In-Carnation Thrift Store is a non-profit program by the Sno-Valley Senior Center that has been serving seniors and their families in the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington State since 1975. Located in the City of Carnation and 100% run by volunteers, all proceeds from the store go straight toward supporting the Center and its mission to be an effective provider of quality services to support the independence of senior citizens. I manage the online presence of the store on eBay, facebook and local community boards.

Successfully conceptualized, set-up and managed the new business of Exhibition & Event Services for Mid Valley Megamall, the largest shopping mall in South-East Asia. The Mid Valley Exhibition Centre within the mall was built and positioned as the preferred venue for consumer exhibitions & events in the region within a one year period. My responsibilities included the setting up of the entire infrastructure of the company from business concept to selling space and daily operations of the facility.

Recruited, trained and managed a team that was responsible for giving PowerPoint presentations and conducting tours of satellite broadcasting facilities by international investors and foreign government delegations visiting Malaysia’s Multi-media Super Corridor. The team also took charge of scheduling and managing non-production facilities & equipment, and recruiting studio audiences.

Assumed full responsibility for all aspects of staging 1,314 events held at the Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. These events, at both international and national levels, include exhibitions, conventions, conferences, meetings, concerts, official ceremonies, government rallies and food & beverage events.

My career in the event & exhibition industry started here. I was involved (as part of a global team) in the conception and planning, and then personally oversaw the production of 33 international trade exhibitions in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. Industry profile of these exhibitions includes defense, oil & gas, computer, industrial machinery, agriculture, food & hotel, woodworking and building.
