Under the supervision of the Director of Patents and Legal Affairs, I am the sole support for providing full administrative/paralegal assistance to in-house patent agents

• Manage all in-coming mail and electroning correspondance (open, stamp, scan and save) highlight deadline/sensitive matter and identify appropriate course of action, manage the fiilng systems and its follow-up;• Answer in-coming calls and maintain the agendas and calendars, organize meetings, conference calls and conference rooms reservations;• Manage deadlines and ensure such deadlines are being anwered in due time by department professionals;• Creation of presentations, tables and reports;• Answer autonomously to various official correspondance;• Composition, translation and review of documents;• Preparation and update of department budgets;• Make all travel arrangement plans for members of the department, both international and national; prepare travel expense reports and monthly expense reports;• In charge of the internal audit of the laboratories notebooks of the research center;• Manage and effect filing of patent applications emanating from research center;• Attend to patent formalities and support patent prosecution;• Lisaise with colleagues from other site in regards to workflow (US/Vienna/Germany).• Interact with inventors to receive and organize their contribution and corroboration as well as coordinate the course of action in regards to inventorship determination.with researchers and inventors;• Assemble and organize documents, including ordering or downloading patent file wrappers and prior art;• Obtain new and/or renew exemptions from Health Canada for controlled substances used within the research center in collaboration with researchers;• Responsible for all other administrative duties for the members of the department.
