Manage regulatory and governmental affairs activities in Midwestern markets• Advocate and lobby for policies that promote the development of free and open competitive markets for electricity • Develop communications and public relations strategies to support legislative and regulatory efforts• Serve as the spokesperson for the company in various forums, including legislative hearings, stakeholder working groups, and with various media outlets• Craft and implement regulatory and legislative strategies to maximize market opportunity and protect company interests • Represent the company in settlement negotiations in contested regulatory proceedings and other litigated matters• Analyze utility procurement methods, market structures and rate designs for establishing electricity rates in deregulated electricity markets and advocate market structures that are conducive to sustainable market opportunity for competitive generation suppliers
