I am the founder and Chair of Male Cancer Awareness Charity, Cahonas Scotland. I also currently lead on all Fundraising, Marketing and Communications on a voluntary basis.- Responsible for planning and implementing Cahonas Scotland fundraising strategy- Planning, promotion and volunteer management across all Cahonas fundraising activities and events including Charity Ball, running events and other fundraising activity- Ability and experience of securing funding from Trusts, Foundations and Corporate Sponsorship- Managing, producing and design all marketing and PR activity including all promotional material and media coverage- Overseeing and managing marketing & fundraising budgets

· Responsible for all design, layout, production, distribution and delivery of the publication· A member of the editorial team I ensure that the key messages from WDCVS marketing remit are carried throughout the publication both in editorial and marketing forms.

Joined Third Sector Interface, WDCVS, as part of Graduates for Business placement and was quickly promoted to Marketing and Communications Officer.Current responsibilities include:- Design, implementation & facilitation of effective local & national marketing and PR strategies including the creation of a new marketing and PR campaign to promote the 2011 European Year of Volunteering within Scotland which seen an 18% increase in volunteering interest and referrals for the first quarter of 2011 (in West Dunbartonshire)- Overseeing and managing marketing budgets- Designed and created a brand identity, advertisements, brochures, leaflets, annual reports and responsible for the layout, design and production of not for profit Third Sector quarterly publication ‘Focus Scotland’, creating an image that is up to date and relevant to WDCVS key audiences- Working with and assisting volunteer groups with their marketing needs- Carrying out effective research into third sector trends- Developing partnerships and good relationships with partner organisations to meet strategic objectives

· Editor – Responsible for overseeing, planning and managing all content throughout the publication.· Leading the Banter Team of 30+ volunteer writers, photographers and administrative assistants· Optimising meaningful engagement and promotion of volunteering with young people in Scotland in way that is relevant to its young audience without the overkill of a voluntary sector label· Responsible for all design, layout, production, distribution and delivery of the publication
