I have investigated various structural and architectural components for commercial and residential structures that have been damaged or failed as a result of seismic activity, fires and explosions, hail, wind, tornadoes, snow/ice events, wildfires, poor site drainage and soil movement as well as failures caused by design errors, construction and manufacturing defects. I have also investigated building envelope failures and moisture intrusion including roofing, flashing, water-resistive barriers (WRB), stucco, siding, windows, and doors. My experience allows me to not only determine the cause and origin of the damage but also provide repair solutions and provide expert testimony as needed.I previously worked at a structural consulting firm in Colorado Springs where I had the opportunity to design numerous types of structures including hospitals, parking garages, education facilities, retail, multi-family condos, medical office buildings, and custom residential, among others. Prior to that, I worked at internships with structural consulting firms, general contractors, and sub-contractors where I had the chance to gain experiences in the field.I attended Kansas State University where I attained both my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Architectural Engineering.
