A Senior Forensic Consultant with over 16 years of experience in the engineered wood products industry. Specific skills include technical writing, leadership, initiative, teaching, standards coordination, accreditations and glulam manufacturing expertise. He is unique combination of an engineer with a technical background and a creative drive. He has developed new products in the glued laminated timber industry, including new lay-up designs and utilization of underused species. He also has experience as a design engineer for construction and observation projects, including sanitary and storm sewer replacement, foundation and site design, drainage review, and water supply management review. Some of his key accomplishments with the American Institute of Timber Construction include: created a manual for the Malaysian Timber Council, revised outdated standards, created procedures and quality control manual for international accreditations, created consensus standards procedures, served as Secretariat for the AITC American National Standards committee, served on ASTM Standards development for adhesives in the wood industry, participated in the Softwood Export Council’s Trade Mission to Japan for seven years to help facilitate trade of softwoods between the United States and Japan, and provided expert witness testimony in lawsuits involving glulam.
