I am a Teach For America teaching corps alumnus, a people first powerhouse who is visionary, strategic, with a high-level of attention to creating and launching strategic programmatic initiatives. Over the last decade, I have built from the ground up a multi-faceted, well-rounded training program for novice teachers for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the fourth largest school district in the country. Since then, I expanded this program on a national-level, supporting and consulting 20 regions to build out their own personalized training services. In my Chief of Institute position, I oversaw strategic planning, execution, budget, and program satisfaction while upholding the overall program vision and strategy for the Miami-Dade region and the National Institute Team of 50+ regions. I have built work tools and resources, and led team stepbacks to strengthen community and therefore, impact student outcomes. Along the way, I furthered my development within transformative justice, liberatory education, and consent to further move the needle towards equity. As a lifelong educator, people manager, and program visionary, I thrive when building deep relationships with individuals over a contained amount of time that echoes into their ongoing work; I create magic with little to no resources to build a program; I integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into the fabric of my content without needing to distill it.
