•Practice effective customer service; including consoling grieving or distraught clients in times of needs, offering support, and advising clients as needed.•Suggest and contribute innovative, solution-oriented ideas for improving the overall workflow of the hospital •Up-sell products to clients and inform clients of the latest products, pharmaceuticals, and rebates.•Answer incoming phone calls, document messages, and direct phone calls to the appropriate person in a professional manner. •Maintain patient confidentiality and routinely update patient information as needed.•Inform clients of euthanasia policies, pricing, and procedures including discussing and setting up proper cremation or other disposal of body. •Prepare patient rooms; regularly appraisal of room inventory and cleaning/stocking supplies as needed.•Greet clients and direct patients to the appropriate room, while maintaining patient room list. •Maintain a clean kitchen and staff room area by routinely cleaning and sanitizing the area.•Retrieve, fill, and process patient prescriptions. This includes professionally communicating with the local pharmacies to coordinate accurate patient prescription filling. •Weigh patients of various breed and size and document information accurately onto the patient’s medical chart.•Organize and maintain approximately 200-400 patient files daily.•Increase knowledge and understanding of up to date products by participating in office “lunch-‘n-learns”.•Enter all procedures, codes, and medication information into the computer system daily.
