CurrentWhile at Northview High School, I have taught more than 2,000 students and coached many more through various extracurricular organizations. As a teacher, it is my goal to mentor, train and develop students while teaching the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible members of society.• Develop and implement live and virtual lesson plans that meet state and national standards while finding innovative ways to accommodate differences in learning styles• Created a new and innovative course, US History Through Film, which was approved and adopted by the State Board of Education• Establish clear and consistent classroom management procedures that align to campus-wide initiatives while developing students’ character and sense of community in the classroom • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding and respect for the communities in which they identify• Evaluate and record students’ performance and resolve problems as needed with appropriate stakeholders• Identify student needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students resolve health, attitude and learning problems• Develop and share best practices with colleagues and administration• Create and manage systems for tracking large amounts of data - compile, maintain and file all accurate records of student information, including reports, records and other documents required by the school and district• Facilitate and utilize technology as a communication and educational tool to improve student achievement and manage work related tasks• Consistently improved student success rates each year in addition to exceeding state and national pass rates• Lead and managed financials for multiple extracurricular organizations - Academic Team, Basketball, CloseUp, E-Sports, Fencing, Lacrosse, Model UN, Softball, Swim & Dive
