I am business lawyer with a focus on Chapter 11 reorganizations, Subchapter V restructurings, out-of-court workouts, and distressed acquisitions. I have guided hundreds of businesses through Chapter 11 reorganizations, sales, orderly wind downs, and out-of-court restructurings. My clients come from every sector, ranging from small enterprises with a few employees to public companies with thousands. I also have extensive experience representing creditors and Unsecured Creditors' Committees in Chapter 11 cases. Although I work with companies across the spectrum of industries, a significant portion of my practice involves restructurings of automotive, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, sports and leisure, construction, and real estate enterprises. In addition to my insolvency practice, I have represented businesses and their owners in a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including the buying and selling of businesses, commercial real estate, and other assets. Over the years I have also served as outside general counsel to a number of companies.I graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in 1994, was board certified in 2005 as a Business Bankruptcy Law Specialist, and have maintained an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell for more than 20 years.
