Responsibilities include daily accounting and payroll support, financial statement preparations, and tax return completion as well has financial analysis and advising of local small business owners. In addition, personal tax return preparation for multiple clients. Help clients with new businesses learn where to begin keeping accounting records; train them on the systems they choose and teach them basic accounting principles; help them develop good record keeping habits; complete required filings as needed. I specialize in QuickBooks but can learn and work with other software. Contract with businesses to work on special projects such as forecasting or projecting financials under different scenarios or assisting with transfer of accounting data into a new system.

Already teaching at Howard's Kokomo Sports Center, an opening at the Y sort of fell in my lap and I've been teaching both places ever since.

As a part time CPA and mom, I found joy in my daily trip to the gym. One way to add some to the household income was to become an instructor. This was a small source of income, but a great source of satisfaction as I worked to become stronger and encouraged others to do the same. The club closed as a result of a corporate level decision in 2014.

Guided clients as they converted their accounting systems from manual to computer systems, or from one system to another based on their individual needs. Demonstrated a strong ability to research and answer questions raised by clients. Successfully implemented the firm’s first experience with electronic filing of tax returns for both federal and state.
