Founded on Harrison Street in SOMA in 1891, BGCSF is the first Boys & Girls Club on the west coast and holds the unique distinction of being two of the 53 founding members of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Today, BGCSF operates eight Clubhouses, a 2,000-acre residential Camp in Mendocino County, six School-Based Clubs across San Francisco. Our sites are located in neighborhoods with the fewest resources and where kids need us the most.Our MissionTo inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
