While completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I supported the development of a performance management system for several social service projects for the Appalachian Regional Commission. I also partnered with the Department of Job and Family Services to create a teen pregnancy prevention program for the state.
While transitioning from undergraduate to graduate school, I was awarded a stipend and resources to support the national organization Voices for America's Children. While there, I assisted in the development of Voices’ Juvenile Justice Platform and drafted issue briefs and policy implementation documents on child welfare and youth development.
