Responsible for the oversight of Amtrak’s system wide compliance with federal regulations, railroad operating rules, safety rules and practices within the Transportation, Engineering, and Mechanical departments. The goals of this oversight are to ensure that critical QA and QC processes are in place and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations pertaining to safety, security and other legal requirements; specific emphasis to be placed on Amtrak’s 49 CFR Part 217.9 program of operational tests and inspections and all other Amtrak regulations and policies required to safely perform the work. This position is responsible for identifying and improving compliance with the rules and procedures that have the greatest potential for reducing risk and increasing safety. The QA compliance analyst will evaluate safety, compliance and other data as necessary, report identified trends in compliance and Safety performance and related incidents across Amtrak, and will partner with other organizations within and external to Amtrak to design and implement improvements to internal controls relative to the QA processes and compliance standards that they are responsible for auditing.

Second Shift Manager for all of AMTRAK Engineering emergencies on the Mid-Atlantic Division. Responsible for the oversight and coordination of all emergency activities for C&S, Track, Electric Traction, and B&B

Night manager for all of AMTRAK Engineering projects on the Mid-Atlantic Division. Responsible for the oversight and coordination of all construction/ maintenance and production activities for C&S, Track, Electric Traction, and B&B.

Responsible for managing and training work train and engine service employees to ensure the safe and efficient operation of trains in a specific area on an operating division. Co-managed crew base on Amtrak regulations and operating compliance.

Responsible for safe and efficient movement of train and on-track vehicles within dispatching district for 24-hour operation.

Responsible for day-to-day supervision and authorization for the safe and efficient movement of all trains for the Caltrain commuter service. Comply with and adhere to General Code of Operating Rules, policies and procedures of Amtrak and the commuter agency.

Responsible for the delivery of authorities for the movement of trains and on-track equipment required by NORAC Operating rules.
