Also manage the team's work as the Agile Scrum Master (Certified SAFe 5 Scrum Master).April 2015 to January 2020: Worked with the DNA Fulfillment team of Ancestry.com to support the manufacture, sale, and tracking of DNA kits; the tracking of DNA samples throughout their analysis; and the presentation of genetic data and information to customers. Software development includes Java with the Spring Framework on the AWS cloud environment for the back-end services, and the front-end services incorporate HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.December 2013 to March 2015: Worked with the Family Tree Maker team of Ancestry.com to maintain, improve, and add enhancements to their genealogical desktop product. Software development included using WPF, XAML, C#, AutoIT scripts, and Coded UI technologies, as well as the creation and updating of unit and integration tests. Also set up a continuous integration build server to run the tests and provide status reports to the team with every code check-in.

Tooele, Utah, United States

Worked several different positions for the Battelle-operated laboratory in support of the Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (TOCDF) affiliated with the U.S. Army’s Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program to safely destroy the nation's aging chemical weapons. While working there, created various programs to help improve laboratory processes and to reduce errors. These programs eventually grew into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) used by the entire the lab for the remainder of the project. Left Battelle in August of 2000 for about a year to pursue an opportunity to start and systemize a new laboratory for an affiliated project, and returned to Battelle at the TOCDF lab in October of 2001. Throughout my career with Battelle, continued developing and maintaining applications for the TOCDF LIMS, and eventually made software development a full-time career in March of 2007 after returning to school to earn a Masters Degree in Information Systems (MIS).

Pine Bluff, Arkansas, United States

Worked as the Analytical Department Manager for the Southwest Research Institute-operated laboratory in support of the Pine Bluff Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (PBCDF) affiliated with the U.S. Army’s Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program. Set up and systemized the new laboratory and instrumentation, created new laboratory processes and operating procedures, and hired and managed 25 Analytical Department personnel.
