Information Technology Director
CurrentThis is responsible administrative work developing, implementing, and managing the City's information systems. Responsibilities include developing, reviewing, and recommending short and long-range technology systems; telephone systems; virtual environments, operations workflow; installation of software and hardware; network configuration, and infrastructure optimization.• Assists system users in developing, specifying, evaluating, and implementing information system technologies.• Develops and oversees information technologies, systems, and equipment procurement and standards.• Develops and administers department's budget, payroll, personnel, and purchasing systems.• Educates and counsels department directors regarding technology needs and requirements.• Establishes internal procedures and policies for company technology systems.• Develops and oversees information systems training curriculum.• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and presents to the City Council.• Interacts regularly with City staff regarding the City's operation, financial, and future information system needs.• Researches computer industry information and materials to determine new technology availability and applicability to City's operations.• Maintains system and user security in network environments; ensures security of sensitive data.
