As Customer Service Coordinator for TC Transcontinental multi-tasking and attention to detail were at the forefront of my required skills. TC is a fast-paced environment, web-based presses stop for almost nothing. Mix into that customers with product shipping across four provinces, competitive timelines and the technological expertise that is required when working with complex equipment and you have a position that tolerates no slacking off.I worked closely with Overwaitea/Save-On Foods, Pharmasave, Best Buy, Future Shop as well as a variety of smaller local retailers and publications assisting with everything from bookings, file submission, distribution lists and shipping through to billing on the completed end.

An extension of my role as Communications Assistant, while Digital Media Coordinator I was responsible for planning, testing and programming a new digital signage program comprising of 7 screens located within the Museum. As part of a larger UBC directed digital signage program, I was required to comply with UBC rules and regulations while maintaining the Museum's distinct esthetic. Committed to the sustainability of the project, I designed a programming schedule and design template that was easy to maintain as well as trained others on the software and design upkeep. I also designed and assisted in the production and installation of exhibit materials for the exhibition, "Kesu: The Life and Art of Doug Cranmer." These materials were also used in a touring version of the exhibit, displayed at the Campell River Museum.

As communications assistant I was responsible for the maintenance, content development and data analysis for all Museum social media sites, blog, as well as other internet marketing based initiatives. Within 6 months I was able to grow the Facebook following by 80%. I also supported and facilitated the participation of other Museum departments in the production of social media content in order to encourage a more sustainable content model.Offline forms of communication were also within my employment requirements. I expanded the student guide training program in order to provide a more supportive experience for those employees. This was accomplished by leading specialized workshops and the creation of fun-oriented optional training sessions where guides would train each other by sharing their expertise in a time-sensitive format.During my time in this position I was also invited to teach a university level class on social media promotion of museums which included leading a discussion on social media and ethics in the museum environment.
