I have had the opportunity to work in education for the past 33 years. I now have the opportunity to lead a group of visionary educators at CTL, where we work to support exceptional learning experiences for all students. Previously, I taught mathematics and science at the middle and high school levels.Since 2006, I have had the privilege to work with the Collaborative for Teaching and Learning working with schools and districts on creating impactful learning cultures and helping teachers and leaders improve. It has been exciting work. I am currently the CEO for CTL. Check out our webpage and company page for our response to big educational issues. I, also, love helping teachers identify instructional goals, develop plans to incorporate those practices into their instruction, and evaluate the impact on their students' learning. I look forward to continuing the work and adding new projects that tie my skills in mathematics, technology, and content literacy together. I finished my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with an analysis of institutional rigor in high poverty, first generation college-going schools. We found that schools can impact college success rates by implementing basic approaches to inclusion and equity in instruction.
