Responsible for infrastructure including networking (wired and wireless), web filter, ASA, VOIP, virtual environment running VMware, DAS/NAS/SAN storage, and backups. Administer an Active Directory environment including GPO, DNS, and DHCP. Also responsible for Computer Technicians.A partial list of accomplishments includes:• Implemented VMware virtual environment which included 3 physical hosts and shared storage.• Programmed switch to isolate iSCSI traffic for SAN implementation.• Installed and configured SAN for shared storage for virtual environment to provide high availability of virtualized servers using VMware vMotion.• Able to remove 9 physical servers after being virtualized which opened up much needed rack space and conserved power (electrical and cooling.)• Worked with vendor to implement VOIP system that consists of 2 physical servers, 9 virtual servers, 4 voice gateways, and 200+ phones across 7 locations. Also ties into bell system and overhead paging.• Configured switching environment to isolate and route traffic for new VOIP system.• Through use of SA-Announce, created groups to tie into VOIP system for intercom system and to send weather service alerts.• Responsible for analog phone lines, which are now used mainly for faxing and security system.• Implemented network infrastructure for keyless entry (fob) system including VLAN's and server.• Responsible for Computer Technicians who handle first level technical issues.

Responsible for supporting all aspects of the district including desktops, laptops, printer, copiers, servers, wireless networks, wired networks, switches, routers, ASA, and all necessary software.A partial list of accomplishments includes:• Implemented FOG imaging system (Free Opensource Ghost) to update aging images and image solution. Replaced FOG with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager to further automate image deployment process.• Redesigned Active Directory structure to reduce number of domain controllers from 8 to 5, decreasing replication time and traffic.• Replaced aging 2003 R2 servers with 2008 R2 and raised domain and forest functional levels to match.• Deployed Symantec EndPoint Protection to over 850 endpoints. Transitioned from SEP to System Center Endpoint Protection during rollout of Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager solution.• Transitioned school district from Exchange to Google Apps due to space issues and desire for students to receive email accounts. Migration included roughly 180 staff and over 50 GB of user data.• Created one district wide wireless network so travelling staff could more easily connect and use district resources.• Implemented Microsoft Data Protection Manager to replace Symantec Backup Exec.• Installed and configured iSCSI NAS to be used for D2D solution in tandem with Data Protection Manager.• Removed various servers that had reached EOL with newer hardware. Migrated settings and user data.• Implemented KMS server for easier management and activation of Microsoft OS's.• Mange both HP and Aruba wireless networks.• Manage and maintain switches and routers, including firmware updates and configuration changes (see below.)• Created new VLAN for servers to remove them from student/staff VLAN. This will reduce the amount of broadcast traffic the servers need to process, improving efficiency.• Configured Etherchannel (Trunks on HP Procurve) ports for various servers with teamed NIC's.

2nd Tier support for end users with a greater emphasis on projects. Small to medium sized projects are assigned to this level. My duties include responsibility for ticket resolution, administrator for Altiris Management Suite, hardware imaging administrator, corporate wide software roll outs, and mentoring lower level technicians. Also responsible for 24/7 tech support while on call. A partial list of accomplishments includes:• Transitioned from 10 year old imaging system to Altiris Deployment Server. Moved company from model specific imaging process to a hardware independent platform which reduced the number of images to maintain from 15 to 4.• Tested, scripted, and distributed Windows XP Service Pack 3 to over 1100 nodes.• Tested, scripted, and distributed Internet Explorer 7 to over 1100 nodes.• Tested, scripted, and distributed removal of McAfee Anti-Virus and installed Symantec EndPoint Protection to over 1300 nodes.• Tested, scripted, and distributed upgrade of Credit Administration dept., roughly 50 users, to MS Office 2003 from MS Office 2000.• Tested, scripted, and distributed Symantec’s Enterprise Vault email archiving solution to over 1400 nodes.• Tested, scripted, and distributed necessary updates to banker platform systems.

2nd Tier Support for end users. Tickets not closed by Help Desk staff are escalated to this level. Responsible for ticket resolution and small projects. Worked in the Loan Operations Support Dept. Responsiblities included creating ad hoc reports, working with our vendors to fix system processing issues, and was the project manager for the testing of the annual upgrade to the core processing system.
